What changed on 1 October 2026

  • Service messages are charged again — after the first 1,000 free service messages per phone number each month.
  • Utility messages sent inside the 24-hour customer service window are no longer free.
  • Meta charges per delivered message, not per 24-hour conversation. Messages from customers to you are always free.
  • Utility and authentication get cheaper as your monthly volume grows (volume tiers).

This is an estimate based on Meta's published list rates effective 1 October 2026. It excludes VAT and any fees from your WhatsApp provider. Meta can update rates on 1 January, 1 April, 1 July and 1 October. Meta Business Agent costs are converted from USD and vary with how complex each reply is.
